Write for us
We welcome considered pitches from writers who can make a question about claims, sources, images or language clear and useful to a general reader. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What to pitch
Propose a focused subject with a distinct reader question: for example, how a message signals certainty, how an image's framing affects interpretation, or what a source can reasonably establish. Pitches should suit an evergreen article and explain the central idea in a few sentences.
What makes a strong contribution
We value precise language, a fair account of competing interpretations and a clear distinction between evidence and inference. A good pitch explains why the subject matters beyond one passing headline and avoids claiming more than its material can support.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and select the editorial option. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader takeaway and a brief description of your relevant experience. Please do not send a full draft unless we request one; a proposal is enough to begin.
Curiosity deserves a careful second look
A pause is not cynicism; it is room to ask what supports a claim, what remains uncertain and what context might change your reading.
